Triplex plunger pumps are known to be the most reliable high pressure pumps available on today's market.  The ECHOTec. pump is a low revolution (570 RPM) 316 Ti (Titanium) stainless steel version, driven by a highly efficient permanent magnet motor, designed for continuous duty under tropical conditions.  A sturdy low friction timing belt system transmits the power for a cool and quiet operation. No low reliable and service intensive energy recovery pumps or irreparable electronic circuits that can stall the entire system are used on any ECHOTec.Watermaker.  These desalination systems are made without "bells and whistles" for live aboard offshore cruising with peace of mind. As for all other ECHOTec. systems only highest quality raw materials, that have proven to withstand continuous duty in a harsh marine environment are selected for ultimate reliability and lifetime. All wetted components including the true regulating pressure valve and all high pressure fittings are made of 316 Ti stainless steel. For economical maintenance we do not use proprietary components that bound you to purchase expensive consumables only available from the original manufacturer. Standard filters, chemicals and membranes can be obtained anywhere.
